Chord Progression Transposer

Transposed Progression:

Transposed output will appear here.

This tool allows you to easily transpose any chord progression from one musical key to another. I use this when I can't quite figure out the chords from keys that I am unfamiliar with (F#m, anyone!?).

How to Use:

  1. Enter Chord Progression: In the "Enter Chord Progression" text area, type or paste your chords. You can separate them with spaces, commas, semicolons, or hyphens (e.g., C G Am F or Dm7 - G7 - Cmaj7).
  2. Select Original Key: Use the "Original Key" dropdown to choose the current key of your chord progression.
  3. Select Target Key: Use the "Target Key" dropdown to select the new key you want to transpose the progression to.
  4. Transpose: Click the "Transpose Progression" button.
  5. View Transposed Chords: The "Transposed Progression" area will display your chords in the new key, separated by hyphens.
  6. Clear: Click the "Clear" button to clear both the input and output fields and reset the key selections.

This tool is perfect for adapting songs to different vocal ranges, instruments, or simply for musical exploration!
