I have created a free horror music sample pack featuring recordings of my Cello, Violin, and voice, which is completely free.

Why Am I Making This Free Sample Pack?
The plan is to create tools that allow you to start writing a horror track from scratch, but also to give you the resources to add unique and interesting sounds to your existing horror music.
This pack includes drones, atmospheres, signature sounds, scrapes, impacts, and any other weird and wonderful noises I can create.
What I Recorded
I recorded the three instruments that have given me the most success in horror composition: the cello, the violin, and my voice.
How I Recorded Them
I recorded everything in mono because that's always how I've captured those signature sounds and samples for my tracks that ended up in loads and loads of movie trailers.
My approach was to capture simple and dry sounds that you can then use, manipulate, and change however you want.
I recorded everything in the key of G, with the exception of the impacts. Impacts don't normally have a tonal centre, and even if they do, it doesn't really matter for their purpose.
What's Included (And How to Use Them)

The idea here is that you'll be able to take one of the drones and layer it on top of another drone, and another drone, and then use impacts to create, well, impact.
The beauty of these samples being recorded dry and in mono is that you have complete creative control. You can add your own reverb, distortion, time-stretching, pitch-shifting, or whatever processing you need to fit your track.
The Technical Details
Once I edited all the files, I bounced them all down as waveforms in 44.1kHz, 24-bit quality for maximum flexibility in your DAW.
