I wanted this week's newsletter to be a little "thank you" for you all being awesome. As Simon Wells says:

Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity

And as you are so generous to give me your attention I want to return the favour.

I have decided to relaunch my Inventive Instrument project (because I have missed it quite a lot).

This time I am doing this with a twist.

All the instruments and sample packs I create will be free.

I will be marketing them as Free because, well, it's easier that way and because they essentially will be.

(I say essentially as there will always be a way to get your hands on ALL of them immediately in exchange for a small fee) Β

I am really excited about this project as I think it is another exciting part of my overall vision of my career as a composer/creator/business owner.

I'm starting it off with my Ambient Piano - a piano instrument designed for ambience [It does require the full version of Kontakt].

I will be releasing these as the weeks go on as I have a rather large backlog of them.

If there is anything you would like me to sample/record please let me know as I really enjoy it and of course, use them for my own compositions.

You can get the Ambient Piano here.

🎧 I’m Listening To…

Brillion's Bedtime Stories is an excellent example of well-crafted, mildly cinematic lofi beats. This reminds me of Helios' second and third albums and completely calms me.

I’m Reading...

Royal Assasin is the second book in the Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb and has gotten me whisked up in the amazing, dark and mysterious world she has created. I am not often wrapped up in great character writing, often preferring more plot and action-based books but these books in the Farseer Trilogy are superb

πŸ“Ί I’m Watching...

Fleishman is in Trouble on Disney+. The overall production concept of this is great and I am a real sucker for Jesse Eisenberg's fast delivery and Lizzy Caplan's always cool performances (Party Down is still a personal favourite). Great writing, very entertaining.

🌟 Just in case you missed the post...
